"Justice has been done"

I believe that as Commander and Chief, Obama represents this country as a whole. I really liked how his words came out in big font and how it showed how former president George Bush said "it was only a matter of time.  Also, the picture that was used in the front is very important because it shows the contrast between the president and the actual citizen response.

I think that for such a momentous event the death of Bin Laden really deserved more of a spotlight. This front page fails to acknowledge that and I believe that is it's fundamental flaw.

I think The Monitor actually did a very good job portraying how the reason behind this war was the twin towers being attacked. I like how enough emphasis was put into Osama Bin Laden and our president, but really the focal point should be on the towers.

Big news...

Not only does the suspect have to be taken out of Arizona for a fair trial, but now as depicted by this cartoon, most politicians must feel unsafe.

Huckle Berry Funk

If we keep changing literature for schools we will eventually reach a point where our kids will get offended by every little word and when the idea of speaking "politically correct" will consume us, changing who we are, and what we really are. If they wanna change Mark Twain's, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, then I say they should change every other book with a "dirty" word in it.
This cartoon is trying to depict how ridiculous it is to censor a piece of literature that has been around forever when most of the music and media the grand majority of kids listen to contains the same or even worse terms.

New years resolutionzzz

To be completely honest, I've never had new years resolutions. I strongly believe that one should never live for extremes and that we should always try to be our best even though it is only natural to fail once in a while. And yeah, focusing on some specific parts of our lives might help someone who is unorganized but generally, I believe "new years resolutions" should carry on for the next years to come and for the rest of our lives if anything.  Since I do not have any of these resolutions, I'll list some things I would like to improve, regardless whether they take one month or a decade:

  1. I would like to dedicate more time to my school work and stop procrastinating as much.
  2. I would like to place in this years Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Worlds competition.
